Autumn Activity 2.0

Happy Sunday readers!

It’s 9:17 P.M here in Japan and I just had my quick dinner after showering.I was really excited about today’s post because I finally went out today to see gorgeous red maple leaves in ้ฆ™ๅตๆธ“ (Kourankei)! I’ve been wanting to see red autumn leaves for a while, Alhamdulillah I’m still given this chance every year. This morning we woke up around 6 A.M, which is impossible for me during weekend to do, get ready and ran to the train station because we almost missed it! (it was fun though) After the train ride, we took a bus to the place,  taking up almost 1 hour altogether.

Upon arriving, I was very excited to see the view. It was BEAUTIFUL. Words and pictures don’t do justice. You have to see it for yourself. It was almost magical. I repeatedly said “my eyes have been blessed“, “weh aku rasa mata aku macam kena cuci” because seriously, after weeks of office hours, this was truly refreshing. When you’re working in technical field, things can get monotonous and boring at times. And personally for me, it’s really challenging my emotional balance and also, inner peace; which I’m still figuring out how to maintain it.

We headed to the main photo spots and took pictures, then sat by the clear river to have lunch. I managed to make a simple bento (lunch box) of rice and sauteed chicken. Then we continued strolling around the place and took some more pictures. Well, we did took tons of picture but I’ll only post some down below ๐Ÿ™‚

I wore Uniqlo cardigan and white jeans I just bought last week. Semangat kan. I know :p Also for the makeup look today, I tried dewy look because I’ve been getting more acne lately and it’s cold now so dry face is the last thing I want, but thanks to concealer and sunlight, they smoothed things out!

Thank You for reading ๐Ÿ™‚

Japan: Tsukiji Fish Market

“If you can dream it, you can do it” -Walt Disney

Hi reader!ย โ™ฅ I know it hasn’t been too long since I updated my blog but I’m just excitedย  to share what I did today. So I’ve been wanting to go to Tsukiji Market for a while, I think from last year but I haven’t got the chance to. Finally I went there today! Trust me, I LOVE food hunting. If you need a food hunting person, I’m THAT person. Well of course the guilt comes after but…can puasa kan hehehehe

In case you didn’t know, Tsukiji Market (็ฏ‰ๅœฐๅธ‚ๅ ด, Tsukiji Shijล) is a largeย wholesale marketย for fish, fruits and vegetables in centralย Tokyo. It is the most famous of over ten wholesale markets that handle the distribution of food and flowers in Tokyo. Tsukiji Market is best known as one of the world’s largest fish markets, handling over 2,000 tons of marine products per day.ย (excerpt from thisย website) In short words, Tsukiji is seafood heaven, fresh off the boats, all ready to dive in back into your tummy. (yaas) And take your money away (nooo)

We arrived around 9:15am by train, it took around 40 mins from my place. Personally I think it would be better to go early because it started to get real crowded around 9:45 with tourists and locals. As soon as we arrived we lined up for fresh grilled oyster, what a day starter terus ngap tiram. Then we continued walking along the alleys and tried out many food. Banyak gila k makan but no regrets ๐Ÿ˜‰ Here are some of the pics sis penat nak type korang rajin baca ke tak ni wakakaka

fresh tuna head!

Interesting part: I ate sea urchin aka landak laut! I thought it would be chewy like squid but boy I was wrong. It actually has the texture like pudding but with sea taste, weird but it’s okay la not bad.

No wonder this is a tourist hot spot, the market provides super fresh and fast service. People just stand everywhere and walking while eating, something you actually rarely see in Japan. My budget was out because I just ate whatever that looks good and edible (muslim wise) It’s also a plus point if you bring any friend so you can share as some of the portion are quite a handful.

Japan: Kamakura and Enoshima

Hello reader! Sorry for the lack of updates, I was just occupied with other things. Research, part time job etc etc. I hope you are in good state of health, be it emotional or physical. I’ve been struggling quite a bit but InshaAllah I’ll get through it. May Allah ease our hearts and lift any burden that is weighing us down. Amin.

So last weekend my housemate (Jiha), our Japanese friend (Taro) and I went to Kamakura and Enoshima. We’ve been planning for so long to go somewhere together but the plan was kept being delayed haha because each of us had different schedule so it was quite hard to find a day which the three of us are available. Mula-mula we planned to go to Disneysea but then change of plans, we went to Kamakura because Taro lives there so so macam best la ada tour guide gittew

These are some of the pictures I took along the journey ๐Ÿ™‚ Didn’t take that much photos because I took videos (i prefer videos because I can make a mini movie later yay) Basically Kamakura is a small coastal town in Kanagwa Prefecture and used to be the capital for military government once.ย Enoshima is an island off coast, connected by bridge with the mainland. There are shrines, park and observation tower in the island. You can also see Mount Fuji on clear day but that day the weather was a bit gloomy at the evening so kenot seee. It’s okay though, dah tengok dari dekat dah pun hee

Jiha and I started our journey in the morning, it took around 1h20min by train. Jauh ok! Hahaha

Next stop, Great Buddha Temple!

IMG_4435IMG_4449IMG_4450IMG_4451IMG_4461IMG_4464IMG_4465IMG_4472Our lunch! Just a simple bowl of rice mixed with freshly smoked fish, cucumber and clear seaweed soup. Macam nasi kerabu sikit but the fish was soo fragrant โค

IMG_4470IMG_4471

After finished strolling around in Kamakura town we went to Enoshima island. You can either go there by foot/car/boat. We went by boat with the price 400ยฅ per rideIMG_4475IMG_4481IMG_4483IMG_4498IMG_4502IMG_4514IMG_4518IMG_4520IMG_4524IMG_4527IMG_4531IMG_4532

IMG_4533
what am i doing…

IMG_4536IMG_4543

IMG_4547
spotted a cat!

IMG_4551IMG_4637

There are two caves on the island and I didn’t take any photos because it was super dark! And we were given candles to bring along inside.ย IMG_4642IMG_4641IMG_4643IMG_4644IMG_4639IMG_4638

We didn’t go to the lighthouse because we were exhausted and wanted to find some souvenirs so we went back to Kamakura coastal area and bought some ikan bilis crackers and keychains for memories.ย โ™ฅ

It was a fun one-day trip! And I’m grateful to be able to discover and experience new places. And I won’t stop travelling until I’m old inshaAllah. Next destination? Wait for it ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for reading โค

Sakura Hunting

Assalamualaikum

*cari semangat*

I’ve been planning to write this post since last week lagi sbenarnya but procrastination got into me aaand bam, it really has been a week. Sooo maafkan sis sebab lama x update (perasan ada loyal reader lol)

Alhamdulillah. It’s Spring season in Japan right now and the weather is sooooo beautiful. And of course as the world knows,

๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ Spring Season = Sakura (Cherry Blossom)๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ

These sakura trees bloom differently in different zones and prefectures. The full bloom season for Tokyo started around in mid last week. Basically during Spring the people would go out and do this ritual picnic activity called ่Šฑ่ฆ‹ (Hanami ) which means flower viewing where they sit under/around the trees and just enjoy the moment or makan2 or lari-lari alah macam picnic tu. This activity is rather a custom and tradition for the Japanese people. I love this season (I love fall season the most hehe) because everyone is just happy and it’s sunny and life just becomes better. I personally love this season sebab ni lah season students graduate, university entrance and start job baru so ada suasana ‘fresh start’ in the air. Kiranya dengan mekarnya sakura bermulalah hidup baru ๐Ÿ™‚

My friends and I went out last week and pegi this park, Shinjuku Gyouen National Park in Shinjuku. Entrance dia 200ยฅ. I super prefer this park sebab

-luas gila so tidak sesak

-bersih omg boleh guling k atas rumput

-no alcohol so no mabuk people. ni paling best!

Ueno Park pun lawa but tbh it’s too crowded fam smh wyd what stop bib. Okay dahlah, mesti anda mahukan gambar-gambar yang best kan? Enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

Nara

Been busy with my group project and catching up Parks & Rec (mostly) but here I am updating! A lot of things happened and everyday is an adventure here, not that kind of adventure you wanna do twice lah okay but I survived however. It’s already autumn here and everything is just BEAUTIFUL, the weather, the trees, the air like semua pun best okay! Except for electricity bills, yep. That surely isn’t beautiful.

So back to our Nara trip, we stopped by Nara Station (train) and it was already crowded, being a tourist spot itself. We grabbed a map and startedย our journey

cimg0569cimg0571

There are a also few temples inside Nara Park but gurrl I came here for the deers yknow
cimg0572cimg0575cimg0577cimg0578cimg0584

cimg0586

Okay so the deers are literally everywhere along the streets, near shops, in the tunnel ?? (i know but it’s true we saw one) Then I got so excited and cepat2 beli this cracker/biscuit thing for the deers and once you hold it they can SMELL IT AND CHASE YOU UNTIL YOU FEED THEM. So my crackers were gone like in 0.008 sec, most of the time I threw it all at once because they even BITE you, it’s cute though. Doesn’t hurt at all

cimg0582
look that deer was SO READY to attack me

img_4703
THEY’RE SUPER CUTE!!!!

I actually had a fight with this one deer where I tried feeding only some of them but semua datang attack and I panicked and threw the crackers. Then this deer snatched my map from inside my bag, I tried taking it back by pulling it from its mouth but it refused. So yeah we basically had a war right there. Of course the deer won and ate my whole map. sigh.
